 "She's Gotta Brain Too Ya' Know" is one of Mr. X's pieces in a series of cross-cultural perceptions of sex and nudity. The American porn industry is one of the most voluminous fields of production. It imposes on the innate tendency towards sexual gratification and manipulates our minds into a grotesque obsession with sex and the human body. Mr. X was interested in this fascination as he always had an appreciation for the woman's body from both a physical and spiritual standpoint. From the physical, or sexual standpoint his appreciation of curves is perhaps inspired by the reproductive potential of life from an evolutionary sense as well as a cultural inclination to like that of which is big (big booty Judy, big breasts, big hair, big personalities). From a spiritual standpoint, Mr. X was interested in the glory of a woman with respect to her body and her mind.   "Joy 2 The World"  :is an acrylic painting completed on canvas (8*8). It is inspired by the mirages of daydreams that Griot was experiencing during this period of time. He was becoming more well-versed in musicology and audio engineering/production. Wavelengths were becoming more lucid and he was inspired to create this androgynous character that symbolizes the power of music and joy. The characters eyes have comic-style like beas shooting towards the heavens. It plays on the idea that most of Mr. X's curations come from a divine calling which transcends the physical realm; However, it also explains how the physical realm can be manipulated by our spirits if we just manifest. There is a ghost like figure that is created by the gap tooth in the figure's mouth which symbolizes the idea that our speech is a product of our spirit and often times our emotions are a mere periphery of the true depths of one's spirit.
