  Just checking in with everyone. I looked up one day and realized that I hadn’t posted on my blog for a cool 2 months now. So many ideas have ran through my vast imagination (many of which Ive written down and look at as reminders for when I step into it). But I realized that one things failing in my manifestation (consistency). I’ve come a long way with battling self-doubt and anxiety and currently I feel like a leveled up (You haven’t even seem my final form) As part of being more consistent I will make sure to post on the blog once a week. Hey maybe that once a week turns into once a day ! Nonetheless I am dedicating myself to posting once a week as an emblematic manifestation of “consistency”. In retrospect, Jah tested my will to win through so many circumstances and conditions that honestly broke me down bit by bit in order to rebuild me into the man I continue to evolve as. The griots of the Malinke people have preserved the story of Sundiate Keita who was the original founder and first "Mansa" of the Mali Empire. The story embodies resilience and kingship not only through the plot, but through the character development. Sundiata was unable to stand on his own as a child and in fact did not walk until he was about 20 years old. His mother Sogolon was outcasted because of her physical appearnace (she had a hunch back and was the daughter of the "buffalo woman" Kedjou.    Griot X is an independent artist from Washington DC, by way of Lagos,  Nigeria. As of January 2022, he is 23 years old and taking the art scene by storm!  His intent is to make timeless music that inspires, elevates, and influences  generations before and to come. He began his career with a debut EP “Flavors”,  which infuses elements of soul, rap, and rock into a brand-new innovative sound. It  explored topics ranging from social justice to economic disparity all the while  providing an opportunity to jump around and get lit. He continued with  merchandise roll outs to prepare for his 2 nd  EP “Griot Globe” which included  features from many of his friends in Washington D.C. The positive reception from  this tape encouraged Griot to explore new feats and test his sonic range.
